GM I both love and loathe this time of year. As a small retail shop, all my Christmas orders that were placed waaaaaay back in May start arriving. Yesterday 14 big boxes arrived. It means chaos and mayhem whilst I unpack, check off, enter into the computer, price, and then store while I wait for a more appropriate time to put them in the shelf! The problem is, all the big boxes stores are already selling all their Christmas stuff but to me it’s waaaaaay too early! #smallbiz #storageissues#christmas #Springinnz #goodnewsbadnews

I feel a bit like I’m living a double life (🤫 don’t tell @gjm 😉) I get up… come to work where I own a gift store, fully saturated in fiat and wrapped in centralised process, tied with the ribbon of annual taxes, gst, taped shut with the strength of the manipulated economy. Then I get in my car to drive home and listen to podcasts life “What Bitcoin Did” “What is Money” etc and feel angry at the amount of property taxes we pay, the lack of services our tax dollars provide. I feel stuck. It’s a true dichotomy. Neither here, nor there. #itsastrangeworld

DAY31/31 (it’s the last day of August in NZ) I’ve enjoyed being part of this # and seeing what you all get up to to stay active during your days. Thanks @cuban. my last day was a wild weather day and so wet we had to don our rain pants and gortex, but I loooove stormy weather so it was good! And yoga. A good end to a good month of accountability. Spanning 2 countries, holiday, illness, 2 birthday celebrations and 2 seasons! Nice to meet you all! #31days #jobdone #gratitude

There are moments you know? Nothing earth shattering. Fire on, rain whipping down, curled up on the couch, hubby playing guitar, reading my book, gently sipping a glass of wine. Content. Oops!! Forgot to post DAY 30/31 Did get a walk on the beach after a busy day at the Boutique. It was a moody sky and patchy rain, but always so good to be out in it. #31days

DAY 28/31 morning walk and short kettlebell session. Work, then family dinner for our youngest son’s birthday! 🥳 A good day. #family #31days

DAY 27/31 just a beach walk this morning. I missed yoga so I could get some food prep done before work for our son’s birthday dinner tomorrow. Beautiful morning. I can almost taste Spring! #31days #beachwalk

DAY 25/31 Nope. Nada. DAY 26/31 a much better effort. A morning walk followed by a short yoga session. Followed by work. #31days

DAY 24/31 meh… no real exercise; all day walking and talking our way around two trade events buying for my Boutique… honestly would have preferred walking on the beach… but #3 son said we looked “not too bad” and wanted to take our picture so I’ll take that as a win. Long day. GN #31days with @GJM
