Trying to figure out where that pad connects to....
Forgot to mention that the pad directly beside it, on the other transistor (pad is fine) is also the same l with no apparent trace to where it goes. Been trying to continuity test it but can't find it's trace anywhere.

Well... Shit. I'm trying to repair this busted injector driver module for a 7.3L PowerStroke but I totally suck at soldering tiny stuff and ripped a solder pad off for one of the little transistors.
Of course its the only pad which doesn't have an obvious trace that I can solder a tiny wire to in an attempt at repairing it. I cannot for the life of me figure out what that pad connects to electrically.
Also I discovered the real problem after destroying the pad... A burnt resistor that I traced to the gate of the bank one main power MOSFET. That was the issue all along... a simple easy to replace item.
Oh well, I will try to figure it all out and slam new parts at it and cross my fingers.

Fixed my Akai receiver! Now I just need to finish replacing some of the caps (already done the power section caps), replace light bulbs for the dials, and the blown filter board transistors. Yeah, I decided I'll go all the way and repair it correctly instead of leaving it bypassed.

This blew my mind. What a great track.
I hurt my trusty Akai AA-1030 receiver yesterday. Pretty sure I overdrove the AUX input after a mistake in my voice assistant’s Python code cranked the eSpeak volume way too high. It is all distorted and quiet now. :(
It survived almost 50 years all original, and for the past 10 years at least it's been on all day.
I will repair it though! It is beautiful.

Old video i came across from a couple years ago. 🌈🌈🌈 :)
At this moment, Black Sails 🏴☠️ is my fave show of all time. I loved it. The writing, acting, photography, characters, overall story. I really liked all of it. It is a very exciting show, and well paced I think. The last season I struggled with a bit, but it was mainly just because I was feeling some emotions for the character's hard times, and uneasiness of uncertainty.
The audio design and mixing was so good in my opinion. Especially during battle and just general ship noises were cool. I watched it in my shed with big speakers pretty loud. It was very nice.
I thought Pirates and a pirate show would be boring. I thought I hated sunny, sandy, wet, ocean, captain, treasure stuff. I felt similar about the sopranos when I first watched that. I went in thinking I didnt care for New Jersey Mafia crap and came out with that show being another favorite.
Sopranos has a great soundtrack too which helped a lot.
I haven't seen deadwood in years, but I felt similar about that show as well. And more recently, I watched Arcane which blew me away, I just didnt love the second season as much, but still it ends up in my top tier shows I'd say.
A sci-fi podcast I like: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL95NP4bDITAln7fq-cCqzOFE15UvVthuL
Made a local #selfhosted voice assistant. Finally got it working good enough to setup in the living room.
Followed along with the nordspace test launch in Newfie-Land today, but there was an ignition issue! I love rockets and Newfoundland. Excited to see it fly... whenever.

I know I'm late to the game, but I just set up #ollama on my server with the open webui front end. It is really cool! I am very impressed with how fast the responses are and also super impressed with llava's "vision". Llava can describe images pretty well!
My only experience with ollama before this was on a 1gb raspberry pi clone (the libre potato board), and it was impressive in it's own way... Capable of running a decent llm on less than 1gb of ram and potato CPU. Just very slowly.

FYI 1/4" 12 point wrench fits on these E8 external torx bolts PERFECT. There wasn't enough room between the oil cooler and the bolt to use a socket on these. Bottom pic is the correct socket...

I have a Pixel 6a running #CalyxOS, but I have recently shattered the screen and also Calyx is going through some changes, so it will not be receiving any updates for a few months...
Bit of a bummer, but I think I will pickup a Pixel 8 and try #GrapheneOS! It seems just as good as Calyx. I'm excited to try it.
Cute animated version of neofetch that comes with durdraw, durfetch.
I love these old trucks! Picked up this little '96 F-150 to restore. Its rough, but good bones! Nice colour too... Portofino blue is so pretty, especially seeing it next to my Calypso green, which is a bit over the top.
