The SMG4 web series was discontinued because it used copyrighted characters and real life people, and its creator Luke shifting focus to original animations from his studio Glitch Productions. And I remember Logan Thirtyacre, the creator of the SML franchise, got a cease and desist letter from Nintendo for his raunchy portrayal of their characters and misdirecting his audience, which led him transition to original characters.
