my 2 sats on the signal & cashu thing... cashu isn't bitcoin, but it's usable in ways that support the network. if you get rugged for cashu I hope you don't haven't given much to the mint to get the cashu. but hey... it seems like signal isn't actually secure. tucker is an example. plus, anything you can see on your app switcher screen on your mobile OS can be read by your mobile OS. and your keyboard is probably owned by your mobile OS (unless you're using @GrapheneOS , bless your heart). so, use what's better than what's available. consider your threat models. if you're trying to stay secure from the government on standard hardware, you're doing it wrong. if you want to obscure yourself from gangsters & less powerful surveillance tools, then Cashu & Signal are GREAT alternatives that you can encourage your friends to use with you. good luck & don't f* it up!
