my 2 sats on the signal & cashu thing... cashu isn't bitcoin, but it's usable in ways that support the network. if you get rugged for cashu I hope you don't haven't given much to the mint to get the cashu. but hey... it seems like signal isn't actually secure. tucker is an example. plus, anything you can see on your app switcher screen on your mobile OS can be read by your mobile OS. and your keyboard is probably owned by your mobile OS (unless you're using nostr:nprofile1qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyd968gmewwp6kytcqyp2x308wkaxwxh95zu7uext5hhdvn6y55a9l84z0nj5tw42xqhy76xjduwt , bless your heart). so, use what's better than what's available. consider your threat models. if you're trying to stay secure from the government on standard hardware, you're doing it wrong. if you want to obscure yourself from gangsters & less powerful surveillance tools, then Cashu & Signal are GREAT alternatives that you can encourage your friends to use with you. good luck & don't f* it up!

my buddy thinks he's being investigated. had all his docs disappeared from iCloud. can't tell if he's totally inept computer user (probably) or just paranoid (maybe)... but it's nice to feel like I can offer some tips for hardening his digital lifestyle how can you claim to be a sovereign citizen while using iCloud. my jaw dropped when I heard that

GM NOSTR. I had weird sleep last night, but I remember a dream after maybe 4 months of no dream memory. This dream was of a school environment, and there were people I didn't know. I was wearing clothing that made me seem much older than everyone else. I found a lot of things in my pockets that I needed to organize, and also a $100 bill. I save in sats, but I guess I still dream in Fiat.
