USPSA shooter
My shooting performance is significantly affected by my horrible running skills lol. Bad running = slower shooting. I have this stupid habit that I’ve been fighting forever: I make this tiny little step back to better accelerate but in fact it makes me slower and less explosive 🥲 no struggles with sideways running though. Working on it, ladies and gentlemen
Some dry fire practice for you. Once a dude asked me if I’m practicing to protect my bed lol. 90% of shooting practice is done at home. You can tell that I love $uicideboy$ 🫠
I have to admit that stock Gen6 trigger sucks. I had my entire trigger system replaced and I got a new trigger shoe. Total game changer in my shooting performance. The old trigger was heavy and it caused a lot of trigger freeze and unnecessary gun movement. The new trigger is smooth and the shoe now is wider which makes pulling easier. 10/10 image
This was a qualifier stage at a competition three days ago. I completely failed it there. Today during training I achieved level A when shooting it 😱 Level A is a sick milestone, currently I’m officially C level which is very bottom of the USPSA world lol. I keep watching this footage and I can’t believe I’m able to go this fast. I must achieve a stable B level by the end of this year, it’s my goal now.
At this point in my life, only Bulgarian split squats can make me cry.
Back to business 😎 not too bad after four weeks off. I’m really happy with my speed here and proud of how I shoot when exiting a position (when I move backwards and shoot). I definitely gained confidence in shooting when moving. The hits could be better though, I still struggle with a very heavy trigger which causes a lot of trigger freeze and wide open hits. Tight trigger makes the gun move a lot in my hands when I am pulling it. That’s the problem of a brand new gun and it takes time to make it softer
USPSA requires a lot of movement and proper leg work. You can have the best hits but if you can’t run fast and decelerate properly you will be slow and it will affect your scoring. I really struggled with running so I hired a coach that works on my speed and agility now. My shooting has improved significantly!
It was one of those competitions that makes me drive back home in silence and question my existence lol. I did really bad today! A lot of trigger freeze, clumsy reloads, slow pace, bad hits. Moreover I totally failed one of the classifier stages 🥲 I’m proud of my stage planning though, also I got much better at moving and shooting, entering and exiting positions. But anyway I don’t want to look at the scoreboard this time 🙈
Dry fire practice before the match tomorrow. If I wasn’t too lazy to do it every day I would have been a B class shooter already 🥲

I’m super excited to hear that I inspire girls to try USPSA. It is a male dominated sport and usually I compete against 70-80 men. It’s a lot of pressure and I’m not surprised women are afraid to start. Today my friend Kylee joined my training and hopefully soon we will compete together 👯‍♀️ image

I do a lot of speed and agility training in the gym to become a better shooter. I didn’t know how important it is to learn how to properly accelerate and decelerate, move sideways etc. I hired a personal gym coach for this purpose lol 🙈 here’s a little bit of my training and a video of me competing

This Gen6 is not being nice to me 🥲 Glock improved grip texture in this generation and it’s ripping my skin so bad. I still love it though image

Today I switched from G45 Gen5 to G17 Gen6 🥰 The gun is brand new so the trigger is very tight. I struggled a lot with trigger freeze today. The grip texture is very sharp too, it ripped my hand. But overall I loved it, the grip is much tighter and less bouncy than G45. I expect it to ruin my performance significantly while I’m getting used to it lol but it’s a part of the game. image

Almost a year ago I joined USPSA—United States Practical Shooting Association and became a competitive shooter. I go to the range twice a week and compete almost every month. I think Nostr is the best place to share my shooting journey with you guys 😎
