I want to think slowly again.
I want to wonder and wander.
I want to ask and talk and then wonder again.
I want to go find a book. Dewey Decimal. I want to read it and still not have my question answered.
But right now, I just need the answer.

Love & Hard Money is my podcast about Bitcoin and ethics.
I wrote a kids book that you can only buy with Bitcoin called The Winds Of Uncertainty. You can buy it from my website. The e-book and a video of me reading it aloud are free.

Who’s going to be the first one to try to prove that inflation is fraud and therefore they owe zero taxes?

AI is the apex product of a materialist world that mistakes intelligence for value.
All action boils down to one thing: want. A tree wants nutrients so its roots go deeper. A man wants sex so he gets a job and fills a function in the economy to give him the tools to attract a mate.
AI can simulate intelligence. If given the right prompts and tools it can even exterminate human life. But it doesn’t want anything.
Want is the basis of consciousness. For that reason, AI will never become sentient.

🚨 New Episode of Love & Hard Money 🚨
This is the end of my series reading Fredric Bastiat’s, The Law. It was a harder read than I anticipated when I set out because of all the French names, long quotes and old English in the translation.
I’m proud to have exposed a few of you to this excellent essay for the first time, but I’m also glad to put the project behind me.
Next week we’ll talk about how Bastiat’s ideas show up in Bitcoin and why that matters.

I finally found something worth spending Bitcoin on. It’s a damn shame I don’t have any Bitcoin.
“Here's to the Halcyon, forever may she rest
At the bottom of the ocean, for the good Lord knows best
You made her from lumber and you gave her to the sea
Now good Lord what do you propose to do with me?”
