Open Source Culture represents the simple idea that ideas are free. That information yearns to be free. We acknowledge that copyright laws are unsuitable for a world that’s highly digitized; where content and information are, and should be, abundant and readily available for anyone. The goal of the Open Source Culture initiative is to support and facilitate the creation, distribution and remixing/re-using/re-imagining of any artform that can be stored and distributed in a digital manner (i.e. books, essays, music, photos, code, video, etc.) without copyright restrictions.
