Ate the deer who I shot through the heart yesterday for thanksgiving. I deer hunt for not only my and my family’s health but for the health of my forest. Overpopulation of deer changes the forest type hurts rare native plants. Much us the rest of the food was grown by my father. I already value self reliance and improving local environments but I have a feeling others will be eventually forced into a similar appreciation.
