My dad keeps talking about the lottery and it’s bugging me so we did some calculations. 5 years of buying lottery tickets every weekend is like $1500.
Profit from a 5 year lottery “investment”
= 0$
You’re better off throwing your money in the garbage because at least that would save you on gas.
Say you put that 1500$ into bitcoin. Using Greg foss’s estimate of $2M a coin, that’s a 66x from its current price.
$1500 x 66 = $100,000
I know I’m preaching to the choir but I’m so tired of hearing about the lottery. 😭

I’ve changed so much since I discovered bitcoin it’s crazy to me. And I’ve only been learning about bitcoin for 3 years. Since then I’m more motivated and have a positive outlook on life.
Things like pornography, sitting on the couch all day, politics, social media… they just aren’t appealing anymore.
I want to build a future for myself and my future family.
It’s crazy how much an idea can change a person. View quoted note →
Secured a second interview and super excited about this job. They didn’t mention drug tests but it’s a local government position. Sorta worried about that.
Should I take a weed break now just in case? Salary is definitely worth it even if I don’t agree with bs drug tests for weed.
What do y’all think #weedstr ?
Would probably be beneficial to take a T break anyway.
Love book stores but even small ones are being captured. Books in the front row on “how to be antiracist” and a book about Greta and climate action.
Love the magic of independent book stores so it’s a shame but at least there’s some jewels to be found. (Found a nice used copy of Alice in wonderland for 5$!)
Book stores are a fantastic place for conversation and open discussion. One day we need to get bitcoin books into those front rows and get people thinking about them. Or even bitcoin books on the shelves at all would be a great accomplishment.
