Constantly asking myself - What value do I bring to the spaces I participate in. This thread in twitter on how to exploit the algorithm, and Casey Neistat's recent appearance on Flagrant, reminded me that nearly all social content these days is produced soley to leverage the algorithm at the cost of creativity and originality. We exist to appease the algorithm, instead of the algorithm working for us. Then again that's not entirely true either since the Algos themselves are created with the intent to bring content to the consumer, that they will interact with the longest.

As someone who commonly communicates in gifs, the lack of a gif button in a lot of Nostr clients is quite dissipointing

I like to think I was early to the party on twitter, albeit it was at that time where all the devs I worked with were shooting the shit... Wonder if Nostr will become that place. Feels like an Arab Spring type moment where Twitter just gets hit with State pushed censorship akin to what's happening in Punjab right now would prove a solid use case for it.

Kick making all the right movew and attracting streamers in a way YouTube just couldn't. The real issues are going to be the protections that Kick isn't able to provide. Twitch was just figuring out DMCA and Kick is being sold by some as an untouchable hamsterdam. But what happens if the notices and law suits start getting send directly to the streamers and not the platform. Just how willing is Kick to protect those streamers from their own transgressions?

The Twitter "For You" page is barley hanging on at its seams as it is, constantly bugged out. Needing to pull to update and refresh and have tweets fall in all kinds of disarray.
