I like the place I work, but I really don’t like the state of how research is done. In particular, the publish or perish mentality. It’s a fiat system. Fast fast faster. Lacks quality. Here is a message I received to give an indication of what it’s like as a pro researcher whose job is to publish to get funding to publish to get funding…
“This group of colleagues were instrumental in posting three publications to the MedRxiv preprint server (PersonA et al., PersonB et al., and PersonC et al.) in a very tight ~3 week timeline that was dictated by my external funding deadline. We essentially had a house of cards - if any publication didn't go up in time, the entire timeline would fall apart, and I wouldn't have been able to submit as strong of a grant proposal. I appreciate all of your efforts in making sure our house of cards didn't fall, and wish us all easily addressable reviews!”
I know Bitcoin will fix this - can’t wait to see how! Eager to hear ideas from all you that read this.

“Bitcoin, and digital currencies like it, are best known for two things: They’re really hard to understand…”
- Dave Ramsey
Come on Dave, Bitcoin honestly is not that hard to understand. It’s like the simplest thing really. Don’t scare your followers like that.
And in general, people should NOT be describing Bitcoin as complicated. It discourages people from trying to learn.
I’m actually super excited about the fact that saving money will become the wise thing to do again. Analog of a Penny saved is a penny earned.

I found it to be very useful when I was first learning. Will likely be useful to share with other new persons wanting to learn

Studying philosophy of the late Mike Mentzer. I’m one passage he comes up with a mnemonic device to describe what powerful critics do when they feel threatened by something new from outside their ivory tower. IRACS - first they ignore the discovery, then ridicule it, attack it, copy it, and, finally, they steal it.
We see parallels in the Bitcoin world too, Mr. Mentzer. Don’t let them steal your Bitcoin. Hold your keys.
