D. 🦠 Life's a garden, dig it🦠 πŸ”¬ Exploring the Microcosmos one diluted drop at a time πŸ”¬
Sept 29, 2024 Nice little haul from the garden at the end of September. Tomatoes and Peppers (Not the onions) Feedings comprised of a few #CompostTea applications but mainly DIY #Biofertilizer applications this year. I wanted to see what a low cost biofertlizer could do. It did not disappoint! #FoliarSpray and #SoilSoak application method. #Peppers, #Tomaotes, #Pumpkin, #Squash and Dino #Kale did great! image #Permies #Gardening #Microbes #L.A.B. #Yeast
10/30/24 2nd year #growing and I now have a pile of #onion #seeds. Walla Walla + Red Onion To do list: Improve labeling to keep future varieties seperate. For the last 3 years applications of: #CompostTea #CompostExtract #Vermicompost And home brewed #Biofertilizers have been applied. 0 #synthetic inputs have been applied. I'd say it's been a #successful trial so far. image Time to clean up the chaff. #permies #gardening #microbes Thank you for reading, D.

Both samples were left in their tubes for 72 hours +/- image Left tube: A sample from a heavy clay field a friend and I are working on restoring. Still have alot of work to be done restoring fertility to the field. Right tube: A sample from a current small "compost row" trial I am working on. A mix between a #Johnson-Su compost and an #aerobic compost row. Time is one major factor in this trial. Alot of people create thermophilic compost to reduce time and get the compost ready to apply asap. Generally this process leads to higher pH and being primarily #bacterial dominant. The main goal for this trial is to see how fungal / what quality I can make the #compost, given a small amount of targeted inputs, adequate moisture and minimal physical effort (less turning throughout the process) Notice the difference in regards to color being suspended after both samples have sat undisturbed for a period of time. The suspension demonstrates the quality of #Fulvic / #Humic #Acids being produced from each system.
GM everyone, newbie here. I'm trying to get the hang of Nostr. Currently im using Obsidian app for notes, i can publish notes with ease. An issue im running into is the photos that accompany my notes being published. The text comes through fine but the photos didn't upload. (The photo names did however with a hyperlink, but no such luck viewing them from there.) One option in Obsidian that i noticed was "Turn on if you have a premium account with nostr.build storage services" Could it be as simple as getting a premium account and im off to the races? Or the reality is, i could be missing a fundemental step allowing me to post the photos without the premium account. For context the 2 photos that were attempted were both well under the 7MB cap nostr.build has, but both together were over the 7MB threshold. Thank you for any insight!
