Tras will say that the concepts of "man" and "woman" are social constructs whereas "stag" and "doe" for instance are not social constructs. The only way you can arrive at this conclusion is if you believe that women are a role performed in society. For some words this rationale does work. For instance, let's take "parent". Parent is a role in society where an adult takes responsibility for raising a child. In many (most?) cases they are also the progenitor of the child, but they *do not have to be*. Adoptive parents are parents. People sometimes say "biological parent" when they mean progenitor, which is a theme that bled through into tra narrative when they say "biological woman". But the point about parent is that it is a social function, a role performed by a person. So in order for this reasoning to apply to "woman", woman would have to be a role performed by a person in society. What role do women play? The only concrete thing you can say with respect to society is that it's women who bear children, which is purely a biological function not a social or cultural role. If you try to impose any other social "role" then this is fundamentally sexist. So we're not a social construct in the same way a parent is. We're just defined in terms of our biology.

The name of the female crew member of the Black Hawk helicopter that crashed into a passenger jet got released yesterday and predictably every shitcon weighed in with their opinions that: 1. it was all her fault 2. women shouldn't be pilots anyway 3. if she was a lesbian then she got her job via DEI not merit So here you go 1. It is unclear whether she was even at the controls of the helicopter but she was not in command, the instructor who was a straight white male was. Black Hawk helicopters have two pilot seats and even if it turns out she was in one of them, the instructor in the other seat was responsible and capable of averting the accident. 2. Female pilots statistically have far fewer accidents per flight hour than male pilots, if anyone should be banned from being pilots it should be the men as they're more dangerous. 3. Her parents released all the details about her graduation and qualifications which show that she was NOT a DEI hire but worked her way up just like anyone else. Also flight qualifications in the military don't work like that, there aren't different standards for pilot qualifications, they're all the same. Just more excuses to hate on lesbians and women in general and ignore the facts in favor of a shitty narrative. At least in this case they weren't able to go with their usual opening line which is that all lesbians look like old boots or men so at least we can be thankful for that. Anyway condolences to her family and to all the other families of the deceased.
