IOTA was the 2nd shitcoin I ever bought. First one was Waves, as recommended by a friend "Bro, it can do soo many TPS". I bought 3k $ of IOTA in March 2019. At this point I already owned Bitcoin and I was convinced of its bright future but I was not yet able to recognize the garbageness of all this other nonsense. I believed cRyptOCurRencY & bLOcKchAIn were the future & the best risk reward ratio could be achieved by holding a nicely diversified portfolio of cryptocurrencies. I was a shitcoiner. In March 2019 I would have gotten almost 1 #Bitcoin for that money and I remember sitting in front of my laptop and deciding between IOTA and the king .. goes without saying, I took the wrong decision. I sold the majority of my #IOTA three years later in March 2022 for 2x the initial price. At this point Bitcoin was at around 40k $. To this day I still hold some IOTA currently worth around 250 USD. I keep it as a memorial to stay away from shitcoins and as a reminder not to do such obviously dumb stuff with my money. It's down around 70% from my buy in, which was an excellent time to buy .. if only I had stuck to Bitcoin.
