The truly infinite resource is MMTers gaslighting about why all the 'current things' caused prices to rise, but printing tons of money definitely didn't. #MMT #bitcoin #inflation image

I'd love to have a Zap-Bounty-Feature for my #asknostr questions. Sth like committing a custom Zap to a note & the Zap must be spent to a comment within a certain time .. maybe it's to easily gameable but would be a nice feature to incentives quality answers. Or does sth like that already exist?

Is it feasible to have one LN channel to a well-connected node, with transactions managed by the node and my phone/laptop as the 'frontend', whether on the same network or remote? My setup: - Umbrel #Bitcoin node on Pi 5 (8GB, 2TB M2 SSD) - Installed CLN & Electrum Server (no channel yet) - Using Phoenix wallet (like the single-channel concept) - Want to take LN payouts from Ocean mining - Considering 1 channel with Boltz but 0.01 BTC threshold is a bit concerning (not familiar with LN node backups) #asknostr #Bitcoin

How does a #Bitcoin node know how many blocks to expect before validating them, since anyone can publish infinite invalid blocks? #asknostr image

It is quite magical how a Raspberry Pi can check the hash, block structure & adherence to consensus rules of blocks that took gigantic amounts of energy to create, all within seconds. image #bitcoin #noderunner

Time to get spiffy rich with my new BitAxe Supra. Just kidding, knew I was gonna mine at a loss but the gloriousness of the occasional LN payouts is worth losing a few cents.

What would be yalls recommended way of setting up a lightning node? The cheapest & most reliable way to do this is probably getting a good old laptop, right? But I kinda want to integrate the node into this 3D printed BitAxe stand so I would prefer a Pi or sth like that. So I wonder: Pi 4, Pi 5, which Pi case, 1 or 2 TB, maybe some LED action or oversized cooling systems? Any recommendations? #asknostr

Just got my BitAxe Supra delivered to Germany from @Solosatoshi.com πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ & it's hashing away nicely. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to mine to a pool (maybe ocean mining) that offers lighting payouts for a tiny amount of Sats? .. prbly should have researched that beforehand πŸ˜… would be epic to receive the occasional few Sats into my WoS or even phoenix wallet. Any suggestions? #asknostr #bitaxe #bitcoin Bitcoin image

What is the investment thesis of someone who buys Nvidia today for the long term? Maybe: "AI is gonna keep growing. NVD remains GPU king & also becomes LLM ASIC king." .. alright, but that seems like such a limited & uncertain path forward compared to #Bitcoin , right? image Today, Bitcoin sits at 1,3 trillion marketcap, which puts it at around the 9th largest asset in the world. image However, as Bitcoin is base money it's maybe more sensible to compare it to the monetary base of countries. I've found different information on the UK's monetary base but Bitcoin is prbly somewhere in that range. So it took ca. 15 years to reach the former world reserve currency. image It seems highly likely that #Bitcoin is simply going to keep on monetising, eating into the monetary premium of gold, securities, bonds & real estate. The TAM is soo gigantic & the path forward soo obvious that its superiority over NVD as a long term investment seems obvious.

People's desire to be the beneficiaries of seniorage is not a 'flaw that recently emerged'. Existed since the beginning of humanity (or at least coinage). What's emerging is the individual understanding that there is an infinite amount of Shitcoins but only 21 million #Bitcoin. image

Are there concepts for using the heat of a miner to cool a room? Cooling systems usually work with a compressor pump and a refrigerant, right? Maybe absorption chillers could be used in such a system but do these things exist in small? #asknostr #bitcoin image
