Direct commodity investments (buying physical copper, lithium etc.) for the long term appears kinda stupid, right? I mean, you're basically betting against human ingenuity to produce more of them once their prices rise .. seems like an awful bet.

Learned a whole lot about #Bitcoin from the one and only @Mathias ๐
My first time using a #bitcoin lightning ATM. Very noice project
#bitcoin meets Hansesail in Rostock at the beautiful baltic sea

My gosh humans do amazing stuff, if you just let them be.
Just sent 0.0044 #bitcoin (130$) to my Nigerian freelance designer's selfcustody wallet for a bunch of digital designs he uploaded to my shared OneDrive folder. I'll use them to create print on demand Etsy products that are mainly sold in the US .. electricity, the internet, bitcoin & now #nostr .. IT'S ALL SO FREAKIN GLORIOUS
I think the Overton window is shifted most by people that operate at its borders but within them.
If yall pump the market before I get another juicy cash per mail #bitcoin buy order on bisq .. I'm gonna be a sad boi.

I think we should say selfcustodial instead of noncustodial wallet, right? Noncustodial sounds as if there is no one in custody of the #bitcoin .. but there is .. it's yourself .. it's .. selfcustodial
Living in north-east Germany since 8 years and I think this is the coldest & wettest summer I've had so far. Feels like in the last month there was one case of 3 consecutive hours of sunshine ... I crave some freakin sun :'[

A monetary system's ability to allow for 'risk free yield' in a sense of 'Put your money here and watch it multiply' should not be understood as a desirable feature. This 'feature' appears to be much more of the undesirable default setting of a monetary system. The credible absence of risk free yield appears to be a killer feature, though.

I'm from Germany and I'd say that Germans generally look down on Americans. We consider them to be dumber, less educated, fatter, more 'barbaric' than us .. the enlightened Germans.
But if we're so superior, why is the US so much richer, influential, powerful etc. than us?
#Germany #USA
2021 I tried GPU mining Ethereum for about half a year and received some nice rektucation. Was an interesting project though and as electricity costs in Germany are giga high I wasn't expecting to make a profit. Break even once #Bitcoin hits 36 k.
And pls have mercy #nostr .. I only mined #Ethereum as building a GPU mining rig seemed more interesting than plugging in a #bitcoin miner.

This is an endo-exo prosthesis with a 3D printed & painted cosmetic cover of one of my patients. An endo-exo prosthesis has a titanium shaft that gets cemented into the thigh bone (this is the "endo" part of the prosthesis) and the external part of the prosthesis (the exo part). This patient wears an electronic knee joint. An endo-exo prosthesis with a modern knee joint allows for a very natural walk, as the forces flow directly into the thigh bone. Just like in a healthy leg.

I was counting some cash yesterday and specifically whenever I do that I think about how weird it is that people go to work everyday, oftentimes to a job they hate, to earn these monetary units of which unlimited amounts can be created by the click of a button by certain entities. Then you see this clip of Christine Lagarde signing this template euro bill, as if this enhances the validity / properties of that money in any way .. and this is not meant as a front to Christine Lagarde. If I were in that position (which I'm glad I ain't) I'd surely do the same. Afterall the fiat monetary system can probably be described as a proof of stake or rather proof of authority system. Thus one might argue that the "handwritten" signature of one of the system's highest authority figures actually validates that money โฆ but once you start thinking more about the nature of money it seems so ridiculously archaic compared to #bitcoin
I think Koalas might be the only animal where adults are cuter than the babies.

Good morning #nostr your boi is up early to do some fiat mining.

I love listening to podcasts when I do stuff. But I have different podcasts for different activities, depending on the mental load required for the activity. For example, I can only listen to a @Stephan Livera podcast about splicing while walking somewhere .. or waiting .. or sth comparable, as I really need to focus on what is being said to (have a chance to) understand that stuff.
Using the relatively low fees to stack Sats via @npub1p2ps...3m82 straight into #phoenixwallet is pretty glorious, no doubt.
