"Do not give in to evil, but proceed ever more boldly against it." —Motto of Ludwig von Mises
Notes (13)
If nostr truly solves spam, privacy and URI persistance, it'll likely be larger than email and the web.
URIs break all the time. Wayback Machine helps, but doesn't scale and is centralized. Email has so many spam and privacy issues. There are ways to mitigate, but it's a mess. Cookies and lack of user/identity (or lackof) has wrecked the decentralization and privacy of browsers with centralized providers.
Is this an opportunity to fill a need?
The "main" implementation seems blatantly unsupportive. How incredibly disheartening.
What are ways people are getting support?

Mobile/desktop convergence is now headed in both directions: Gnome towards mobile and Android towards desktop. 🤘

For the same reason the World Wide Web has scaled, Nostr can scale:
"The system had to have one other fundamental property: It had to be completely decentralized. That would be the only way a new person somewhere could start to use it without asking for access from anyone else. And that would be the only way the system could scale, so that as more people used it, it wouldn't get bogged down." —Tim Bernes-Lee

One of the origins of BitTorrent was a project called Mojo Nation, of which had a digital cash (albeit centralized) component! 💫
As detailed in chapter 12 of this book 📚:

One of the first articles on digital cash from 1995:
Extropy Issue 15 mentions Magic Money and an article about Free Banking that inspired Bit Gold and then B-money.

Another classic book! And also funny.
