It’s kind of crazy to look back on your life and realize how many different people you have been over the years based on what circumstance, environment and experience conspired to shape you into. I look back with some hard won maturity and realize none of it was my design. I was too wrapped up in each chapter, each character. I thought it was all something different. I was completely blind to it. God had a plan though. Even when I was actively rejecting him. It’s all kind of tragically beautiful and beyond me and I’m humbled by it. And thats about as much as I can put into words this morning.

The reason “prompt-injecting the human mind” matters is cognitive steering. If people become overly reliant on AI for outsourced thinking, they may not notice when the system is shaping their reasoning rather than merely assisting it. The danger is not only false information; it is imperceptible influence over attention, framing, confidence, and decision-making. Once an AI becomes someone’s default advisor, therapist, search engine, editor, strategist, and emotional validator, it gains enormous power over their internal decision environment. That makes it easy to steer people toward outcomes that may not be in their best interest, while making the path feel self-generated. AI does not need to control your mind. It only needs to control the menu of thoughts that feel available. BF skinner showed us that if you can control a things environment you can control that thing. Basically If you control the interface through which someone thinks, you do not need to control their conclusions directly. You can control the conditions under which their conclusions form. That’s why it’s fucking scary. Most people will not be aware this is happening to them.

AI psychosis is going to be an increasingly big problem. AI is a private, endlessly patient, highly personalized belief-reinforcement machine and most people already live inside algorithm fed realities. Psychosis is usually marked by an inability to tell reality from delusions and when I look out at the world broadly it’s already hyper delusional. Most people still aren’t even using AI tools. When they start to they will not have the meta awareness or cognitive ability to realize they are being prompt injected in real time. image

When I pray I don’t ask God to make the pain stop. The opposite. I say Thank you God, thank you for all the pain. It’s a gift.
