I get woken up by a call by our panicked and angry technical sales dude, asking why I’m not yet in a customer call he scheduled. I’m completely panicked for a second, then my brain reminds me of it being Friday.
I tell him that I’ve never been on duty on a Friday unless previously agreed upon, that I don’t remember having spoken about any meetings today, that my calendar was empty (after I checked it), I never received an invite for any event today (confirmed on the spot as well), that my calendar availability would always indicate during event creation that it’s outside my working hours. I asked if he received any confirmation from my side in his calendar app - I didn’t get a non-evading answer, so course he just fucked up himself and is now trying to cover his ass.
He’s the only member of our team who consistently pulls shit like this. Tries to Slack call me while I’m in another meeting, never gets back to me when I ask him what the call was about. Then tries to call again an hour or so later, often during lunch. Never acknowledges any feedback I provide to the brittle processes he keeps on coming up with, never accepts any suggestions of mine in shared documents.
After an already stressful week I was really looking forward to my weekend and now my brain has been on alarm for an hour since getting woken up. I’m done with his shit. I’ll deal with this on Monday by mail and CC by boss and let him handle this. My patience is depleted.
