Literally any bicycle would beat that speed for rides up to 20-30km. Imagine investing in local bicycle manufacture, importing used components from the international market, skilling up mechanics and building out infrastructure for better roads and you could free up about 30-50% of the load on those trains, increase their average speeds, invest in that infrastructure as well while providing a better, sustainable future for tens of thousand of people in about 2-3 years. Wouldn't take long for a new local economy to arise from this: Village to village transport of local goods, food and repair stands on frequented roads to fill hungry stomachs and fix up broken bikes. IQ braggers are often the biggest normies. An ex of mine considered herself to be among the "high IQ" people and was a member of Mensa International. I once accompanied her during a gathering of these folks. Friendly people in general but if you're somewhat street smart and you except to be surrounded by geniuses you'll be disappointed. Totally inverted carriage order announced while the ICE train arrived at the station. They only have 1 or 2 compartments at each end of a ~20 carriage train for bicycle carriage and they'll kick you out if you haven't reserved a spot, so walking isn't an option because they're not waiting for plebs. Gave me a good excuse to ride along the entire platform of Frankfurt Airport station. Riding on smooth underground is always worth it. Sorry for the fools who tried to stop me but I applaud your acrobatics. 🌚

I'm so ready for this. Will probably be a sufferfest in the beginning (winter, self sufficiency by bicycle) but just having this landscape in walking distance is already worth it. Can't wait for the first night of sleeping in that wooden house surrounded by warmth and smell of burnt wood.

GM Starting the day with a new coffee roast out of the Aeropress. Tomorrow I’ll be headed to my new place and it’ll be a great reality check since it’s going to pour all day, so I’ll get to know first hand what kind of life I’ll have to expect in the coming months, being solely dependent on my bicycle for transport in and out of the small town I’ll be living in. 😌 This time I come prepared: No laptop & weather resistent clothing. (Except for the shoes I’ll be getting the keys for the new house 2 weeks earlier for free. Let’s hope Deutsche Bahn won’t fuck up my timetable too much. Got to be back at the fiat mines quite early on Monday.

Built a fun little project but I'd rather not launch it out of fear of legal/copyright repercussions in Germany and it's not worth the effort to host it completely anonymously because it'd get too expensive for something that was supposed to be free. I have one idea that might work to circumvent this but I don't know if I can actually build it. Should've done the research before building it
