I'm reading through a book of natural and folk remedies, brushing up on my knowledge of such things.
The Amish "folk remedy" for fatigue is "take a 15 minute nap, mid-to-late afternoon, preferably lying down."

For no particular reason I'm thinking about the time my co-worker was talking about one of the managers sleeping with another co-worker. They were both married and she said "God will never send you someone else's spouse" and I just am reminded about that conversation sometimes.
An adventure, a safe space for the night, chickens are all safe too, calling the rehabbers tomorrow...

My mom called me this morning to let me know my cousin's husband had sadly passed in a car accident this morning. They had been together for about 10 years but only married a month. Then she told me about all of the drama in that particular branch of the family, i.e. my uncle (her only full brother) and his crew.
I told her that I was thankful she let my brothers and I fuck up sometimes because we learned the consequences of our actions. My aunt did every science project, book report, etc that my cousins were ever required to do throughout school. They never had missing homework. They never got grounded for making bad decisions. They're now all adults with zero accountability and far too many kids.
