I've been slacking on #rupertsbackyardtoday posts but today is an exciting one.

Mexican petunias with a pollen laden visitor. I'm trying so hard to get a good picture of how deep the purple is in these flowers but no picture does it justice.
I just thought the passion fruit buds/blooms were doing a cool thing.
Yet another type of mushroom in my yard. The mycelium network must be wild down there.
Proof of flames to come.
These fig leaves make Adam and Eve's outfits make sense. Average sized lady hand for comparison.
Lavender babies! My past experience with trying to keep them alive tells me I should not touch them. Crappy pot headed for the trash pile be damned.

We are so lucky to have her here. ASL is amazingly useful. I only know a handful of words and the alphabet but it's helped me more than once. I had a regular at the bookstore where I worked that was hearing impaired. He requested me every time and would leave if I wasn't there "because Rupert is the only one I can TALK to."

The internet is not real life. There will be trolls until the end of time. Letting those people get to you and ruin your experience is fully on you.
