I saw this sign at a rest stop on our drive home. Usually I see MANY gators on summer visits but the water was high this time so this ended up being false advertising for my entire trip. I was the only gator around.

They've just spent a week in the swamps together and now they're spending a week in the city together. Would you believe they're only 6 months apart in age? #cousins #coullions

#rupertsbackyardtoday is a trip down the bayou with Papa Damnit and @Kajoozie Maflingo before we headed back home. Views from Papa Damnit's houseboat. So. Many. Spiders. Carpenter bee hard at work. No one hired him though. Buttonbushes... Barges... And big, badass mamas. (Yeah, another spider.) This big girl rode all the way out to the houseboat and back with is and we never knew. Dedicated mama. I risked life and limb to get these shots for y'all. I was attacked by yellow jackets. Two stings on my right calf and I almost fell into the bayou.
