(4 months leave from the hospital gig commences in 4 weeks! Not that I’m counting down or anything)
Probably my only #writing update this week: decided to take an intermission on the (maths) masters, so I can delicate long service leave to writing the next project. Feels good!
The pups have enjoyed all the boxes

Supervisor

New #coffee machine is here! Possibly already have caffeine poisoning (the humans. no coffee for doggos)

Pup updates sent from home while I’m at work, always cheer me up. Isn’t he handsome?

Weekly #writing #wip update: 2720 words added to the current manuscript. Feels good after weeks of dithering and finally cutting out a subplot.
Still wanna get this draft finish by the end of August
One of the supporting cast for the current #writing #wip, Jude Chan. Town clerk. Runs this city, not just on paper.

Weekly writing update: everything is a mess 😭
Here is my new e-ink notepad. (Chihuahua for scale). Really enjoying have the different format to edit on. Feels like it will level up my fiction but will report back in a few months #writing

These doofs refused to go for a walk this morning #dogstr

Have to read almost a billion PDFs for this research project. Tempted to get something like the reMarkable e-ink tablet to save my eyes, especially if I have to do more of this in the future. My last e-reader is almost dead and has tiny screen (tiny great for novels, PDFs not so much).
Could be good for creative writing too. I mark-up 20k words a month for my critique group.
Anyone have one? I’m pre-warned about the subscription and happy to work around if reMarkable is the most paper-like.
I’m still here. Last week there was a wedding (not mine, but still took all the spare time), this week I’m starting the holiday research project. Hopefully back on schedule with novel writing next week.
We got him a 1-up! (Gotta catch up to the cats!)

#writing goals not meet last week, so I added in a two lunchtime sessions to catch up this week.
(My lunchtime writing is very bad, hopeful I can mold it into something useful later)
Last night we saw HEALTH at the Triffid in Newstead. Great band, great venue. First show since pre-COVID times
#Book haul in the city today. Should cover the next couple of months

Finally got around to finishing The Unbearable Lightness of Being. It’s very ponderable, but, man, I’m gonna go give my doggos a hug #books
