I’ve gone back to an old version of Photoshop that I own outright. As much as I dislike the company and the subscription model, I have over 20 years’ worth of shortcut muscle memory!

Another render from one of the #writing projects: Grady O’Shea, off-book veterinarian. Daz3D and Photoshop CS6
I’ve somehow managed to stick to my strength training program since October last year. Testing 5RM this week:
51kg Deadlift
37kg Backsquat
25kg Bench
20:20 4km rower
Which probably sounds like nothing but I’m a scrawny middle age woman who could barely pickup the 10kg kiddy bar last year
Body weight up 2kg but I’m gonna say that’s from creatine. Muscles in weird new places (traps, abs over the rib cage arch)
I still couldn’t get the chin-up from a dead hang, but I can bounce up no worries.
Celebrated with a new pair of leggings
4 hours a week gets you a lot!
Louis the Sun King, for completeness
And here’s a picture of the most beautiful chihuahua in the universe
I squeezed in a render of another one of my characters, Mrs Chan.
She’s a bad arse, even with the dementia. “Have you heard the term ‘terminal lucidity’? Because that’s not what this is.”
Went full-time at work for a bit. Back to part-time drug-slinging and part-time writing this week. What did I miss?
Here’s some #daz3d kitbash. Playing with my Daz dolls was the only visual art I did in 2023, which was relaxing, but I’m keen to get back to painting and drawing this year, which part of me still insists is the only ‘real’ art
There we go, did it! 52 #books in 2023
I need to hurry up! #books
We don’t have an air conditioner
My state has been suffering through a heatwave. This is my home town (I’ve long since moved to the coast but my poor family is still there)
Pretending I can have a butt on the cover of my (surely) best selling future novel instead of fixing the ending. (Made with Daz 3D, type in Gimp)
Hope everyone had a chill Christmas. Louis was happy with his alligator
Last day of long service leave today. I was meant to be a lady of leisure, I feel it in my bones
Long service leave #writing goals not reached (a whole first draft in 3.5 months), but pretty happy with 50k. This project has been research heavy
Back to work next week 😭
Of course, took a zillion pics and in none of them were both Louis and Fabio looking at the camera at the same time. #failedmodels
#dogs of our apartment building have been asked to contribute Christmas photos
Still here, #dogstr
So happy to see this 30 story tower back up in my city’s development approval pipeline. It’s going to have more plants than any other building in Australia and “2 Full-time building landscape specialists supported by 2 landscape apprentices, working solely on Urban Forest providing approx. 4900 hours of labour & care each. A landscaping budget of $423,572.66 each year.” I wish I could afford to live there. https://brisbanedevelopment.com/green-dreams-renewed-arias-taller-urban-forest-tower-makes-a-comeback/
