I get a lot of scammers in my DMs (on tiktok not on here) so I don’t tend to open them, but every now and then, for whatever reason, I strike up a conversation with a complete stranger that I just happened to notice. It reminds me of having conversations with randos in a smoking area outside a hotel. People are so interesting.

Unpopular take: I have a deep grudge against the war machine on both red and blue sides of the proverbial aisle. My liberal friends want me so badly to fight Trump, and they don’t hear me saying: for the love of god forget about what you think you know about Trump! Ignore Trump! Turn off the paid speech! Look beyond what everyone wants you to focus on, folks. Look for ways to subtly and suddenly subvert the status quo. Right-v-left is an illusion that only serves the leftover cold warriors. On the platforms with baked-in algorithms, I avoid naming two countries: IS and RU. The naming of these two places brings out the robot-buddies, and they are decidedly unpleasant but in two different ways. Saying one name brings out bots who will threaten and bully me in a way that is pro-that-country. Saying the other name brings out bots who threaten and bully me in a way that is anti-that-country. 🤔 It’s definitely a Venn diagram because there is overlap in the types of things they say - like they love telling me I deserve to be assaulted for expressing anti-one or pro-the-other sentiment. You know what’s creepy to me? In between storms today, I got some more seeds put out: basil, oregano, chives, borage, sage, chamomile, lemon balm, anise hyssop, bergamot, more peppers, more tomatoes, and some early beans. Mulched ‘em all down with straw, and now it’s about to rain again to water them in. 😎 this is the way. #gardening
