The Laws of Performance
1. The Law of Knowledge:
Understanding the dynamics and probabilities of your directed effort is always worth doing until you have at least some asymmetry to your advantage.
2. The Law of Asymmetric Probability:
If there is asymmetry in the probability, the result will be in the direction of the asymmetry given enough repetitions.
3. The Law of the Hedge:
If the probability of the effort to result is uncertain, but a constellation of efforts makes the sum of probabilities more favorable, then the constellation is preferable to simplicity—but not before.
4. The Law of Accuracy:
The more accurately you aim, the more precise your effort will get you your result.
5. The Law of Minimal Effort, Maximal Effect:
The less effort you have to expend for the result, the more effort you have left over to gain more or invest in alternatives.
6. The Law of Speed:
The faster you do something, the sooner it happens, the faster you get your result, and the benefits of the result.
