What if sending a DM to a new contact on Nostr required a small Lightning bond (set by the recipient)?
If the recipient accepts the message, the sats are returned to the sender.
If it's ignored or marked as spam, the recipient keeps the sats.
This would flip the economics of spam:
- No more zero-cost inbox flooding.
- You pay only to reach someone new, and only if they ignore you does it cost you.
- Could scale from 1 sat (casual user) to 10,000+ sats.
Just thinking out loud here: #idea #nostr #lightning
