GM! β˜• [WIP] Upgrade Blossom for Encrypted Storage & Secure Sharing I propose to update the Blossom protocol so any file you upload is always encrypted on your device before it reaches the serverβ€”zero-knowledge by design. With this change, servers never see your data or decryption keys. To make sharing both easy and secure, we’ll add proxy re-encryption: you can delegate access to others without giving away your private key. A network of proxies helps authorized users decrypt files, and you can instantly revoke access by telling the proxies to stop helping someone. For extra security and privacy, we’ll use threshold encryption: decryption requires a set number of proxies to agree (like 3 out of 5), so no single proxy can compromise your data. Summary of changes: - Client-side encryption (AES-256-GCM) for all files - Proxy re-encryption for easy, secure sharing and sharing revocation - Threshold encryption for added security and privacy - All sharing and revocations are signed and auditable Let’s make Blossom the safest, most private way to share files! Feedback and contributions welcome. #nostr #blossom
#asknostr What would you need to have or be able to do, to switch to a system-wise nostr account, into which you can login, and handle all your business with? In other words, what system-wide usecases do you need to be solved? Do you have any BUT? #nostr
Yesterday, I wild-coded a nostr clipboard react native app. Then I wanted to cross-compile it to android, windows, and linux. I thought I start with Windows to run it natively, so it can access the clipboard real time. It was a total failure. So I made a dummy app first, to test cross-compilation of react native apps. To make sure, that it works with a vanilla page. Fast forward today, I managed to build it on windows. So tomorrow is linux, android time, then adding the clipboard code. Lets see. But today also came to my mind, do you really want share all clipboard data over all your devices? I mean, its encrypted but still. The best protection is "only local". Anyone using shared clipboards? I kind of like the idea of nostr as a global identity, then you can share everything across devices and even between apps within devices. Also started to think about if remote signing/noauth, can be upgraded. Cheers! πŸ€™ #nostr
Today goal, vibing something small and useable. I need to get comfortable vibin, if this is the future, and find my role in such a world. #nostt
#asknostr Why is Amethyst using also the recommended relays (not only selected ones) on phone A with app from F-Droid, and using only the selected relays on phone B with app from playstore/aurora? The relay list is the same though, just one app uses the recommended relays, the other dont. @Vitor Pamplona
