Energy is valuable. Value is hard to create. With ever increasing technological advancements in energy use humans have flourished. Gold/diamonds and obviously dense energy like coal, natgas, uranium can't be replicated. The scarcity and more importantly the energy that went into creating them gives them their value. Bitcoin is digital value assigned to energy use. And it is scarce. A lot more scarce than all other forms of energy.
