I don't do overwhelm. It's embarrassing but I got this phrase from a free webinar Matthew McConaughey helped put together. I put the audio on the other day when I was driving to the doctor, more curious than anything, and the woman who was speaking said this sentence. I decided to try to use it in my life since getting overwhelmed is my go-to-state. And it helps. It's so cool. I start to get overwhelmed, say the magic sentence, and it centers me and brings me back to reality. Saying "I don't" instead of "I can't" is empowering. And, the thing is, you can custom the sentence to your need. I don't do blank. I don't do sugar. I don't do carbs. I don't do guilt. Anything. It's pretty cool. Especially since it came from a cheesy self-help webinar. #grownostr #empowered #destress

Part of doing what you love is admitting what you don't love. I don't love gardening. It's too much pressure for me. I know a lot of people love it. I know in the homesteading/preparedness/self-sufficiency circles it is a big thing. But I don't like it. It doesn't bring me joy. It took me a long time to realize I don't have to love gardening. It took me longer to stop trying to force myself to love it. So this is my "garden," minus a couple tomato seedlings I planted way too late for the Southern planting zone I'm in. This brings me joy. And now, instead of trying to force myself to love something I don't, I can become better at what I love. #grownostr #gardening #dowhatyoulove
