One of the most consequential conclusions drawn in Tehran was the vulnerability of Western-dependent communication systems. The conflict exposed how reliance on foreign technologies, commercial satellites, and externally routed data networks creates systemic fragility. Disruptions to communications cascaded quickly into command delays, coordination failures, and decision-making bottlenecks. Iran has since accelerated efforts to harden domestic communication infrastructure, reduce external dependencies, and decentralise command authority so that retaliation does not hinge on uninterrupted connectivity.
