I took advantage of having my folks in town (free babysitting) and got away climbing and hiking with my wife. It’s amazing how luxurious even just 30 hours away feels.

My phone just started blaring a super loud siren-like noise from nowhere.... It was a test of the Italian emergency broadcast system. I had no idea that they had to power to push a message with a max volume alarm to my phone (it was on silent). WTF!? 🤬
