GN friends🌙 time for rest because tomorrow is a big yarn day!!! My shipment of 100% grown and spun in the USA sock yarn is arriving. I ordered purple and orange because of course I did. I've been wanting to work with USA made yarn for a long time and the recent sales here on nostr have given me the opportunity to really pursue it. I can't thank you guys enough. And, drumroll please... I'll be showing off the ball of yarn for the next pair of 🤪🧦 sooo excited for tomorrow!!!

Happy Father's Day! To my dad, the father of my children and especially to someone very close to me who became a father this year.

here's a taro tale to wrap up the end of the day... this morning he woke up and made gentle noises in his room til I heard on the monitor and got him. I laid back down in bed and got husband up. he went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. taro whined at my bedside and signed food. I told him that Papa will get him breakfast soon. he wandered off and I closed my eyes to rest more. moments later, I hear a banging. it's getting closer. taro has gotten a hold of something. I'm trying to use my mom ears to suss it out what he could possibly have access to that makes a hollow banging sound like that? When the sound stopped right in front of me, I open my eyes and see that he's brought his snack box that we packed for our 2 day trip. It's a plastic storage container about as big as half of him with goldfish, crackers, yogurt bites and an orange inside. He walked and dragged this box all the way from the kitchen to the bedroom so I could open it and feed him, bedside. Of course I obliged. I really didn't expect that he'd do that. It was a surprise, in a good way 😀 #momstr

last night we had a big family sleepover at the grands. The nieces and nephews were really excited to play on the Switch. We loaded up Donkey Kong Country. On the first level, they got rocked by the first enemy. And by rocked, I mean, they stood there and did nothing. No button press for jump or attack. The beaver just walked right into them and they died. "what? what just happened? it didn't tell me what to do!" Ahhh, how soft the modern youth is. They don't understand the turmoil we endured to play video games. Back then you either played 40-something levels of DK for the whole year or you played nothing at all. There wasn't another free to play game you can just swap to or another game you could buy for the same price as a vending machine soda. They didn't beat the first level but they gave an earnest effort until they ran out of lives. We didn't want to spoil their fun too much while on vacation so we let them choose another game after that. They ended up choosing Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime which was really fun for everyone. #videogames
