We've been dancing with a head and shoulders formation for a little while. The volume profile doesn't look like a H&S volume profile though. Also, we have not yet definitively broken down through the "shoulder line" represented by the thick red downtrending diagonal line segment. Today, so far, we have wicked down below that shoulder line but as of right now the candle body is resting right on top of that shoulder line. Candle closings tend to be more significant than wick extremes so a definitive break below that shoulder line would entail a larger time frame (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly) candle closing below that line. This is the strangest place to be in November of a bull year. In 2016 the halving was in June and we peaked in December 2017, doing more than a 17x of the previous all time high. In 2020 the halving was in May and we peaked in November 2021, doing not quite a 3.5x of the previous all time high. In 2024 the halving was in April and we peaked in October 2025, doing not even a full 2x of the previous all time high? We have nation states and institutional money playing now and their presence has changed the game. It would be like if the all star rugby players around the world decided to go play American football. In some way, they are going to bring their old ways to bear upon the new game they are playing, and, as a result of that, they will change how the game is played. It seems like the paradigm is drifting away from the volatile 4 year cycle of bull, bear, crab, halving and towards something that looks more like stonk charts that boringly grind upwards over time.
