In a parallel timeline, a more based version of me had an idea six months ago, to approach @jack and @ODELL, to design and fund a hashing board compatible with Proto, that hashed a quantum resistant algo, that bitcoiners could purchase as a contingency plan incase they felt that core devs were acting against our best interest. If such discontention was strong enough to justify a hard fork, we could switch algos, fix the timecode bug and know we cant be 51% attacked afterward.

I wish I could see more core vs core arguments here. Plenty of core devs must be appalled by this entire process but those debates aren't yet being had on Nostr, where every debate should be had.
