Demo’d the swing set and built the coop. Had a weird patch with no vegetation. Wifey decided she wants a flower garden. We’ll be putting some herbs along the fence for the chickens. Might try and do some sweet potato towers close by also… #gardening #chickenstr #homesteading #iowa5a #grownostr

No one warned me about pissing out your ass after a 48 hr fast….

I’ve done a few 16-24 hour fast but just did my first 48… things were getting dicey! 🥴

A little over a year between working with the city council to pass a backyard chicken ordinance and actually getting them! The girls we originally wanted from our local farm had 40 of them slaughtered by a couple of foxes… We had to go with some that are younger than we wanted. Nevertheless we are now chicken owners!
