image Gloomy sunday afternoon, so popped out a malbec. First time i've ever had a malbec tbh Delicious, lots of plum, definitely bit of cherry, a nondescript spiciness something like pepper maybe It's 3 years old, according to a quick convo with Gemini this is enough time for the fruitiness to start mellowing #winestr

Is it possible to create a multi-sig scheme for an NSEC on NOSTR? Surely we can use a similar scheme as we do in Bitcoin? Spitballing a decade out when we're going to possibly need collaborative custody of our NSEC and ways to pass it on to our heirs.

Feel like we're gonna need both an equivalent to BIP-39 for our NSEC and air-gapped signing devices for our NSEC

I've written a piece on why we have a market for frequency ancillary services in the modern electricity market (Australia specifically). Building up from first principles using an (over)simplified example. I explain what happens to a simple system without control before introducing control systems and how AEMO coordinates our grid. https://primal.net/e/naddr1qvzqqqr4gupzq9pqdfnf38nagatwdnxxgwv2qphx2plzkftehlhjaeu6qe5fwfw0qqhhw6re94jx7tthv5kksctkv5kkzttdv9exket594nx7u3dveex2ut4v4hxx7fdwdjhyanfvdjhx0cve3rlz

After researching manufacturing in Australia for a few weeks I have concluded that for all the politicians dreams of a technology revolution here, it's not happening. Greatest barrier is energy, and energy policy looks beyond grim. America will have a manufacturing resurgence, but we should focus our efforts on an energy resurgence. Nuclear (private investment, fuck the state), de-regulation, microgrids, bitcoin.

I can't believe this, absolutely mind blown I posted an article just before, and a bot on NOSTR automatically cross posted it to stackr news under my NPUB (which i use for stackr too)

Rooftop solar generation is pretty epic, but it imposes a new consideration for grid operators, engineers, and economists to find solutions for. The rules of physics are harsh and unyielding, and they say your neighbours exporting power can have an adverse effect on your power supply, and your home devices. I wrote a quick article exploring how this emerges over on Substack https://open.substack.com/pub/econguykonrad/p/an-emerging-curiosity-residential?r=d1sr3&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
