Being in an intercultural marriage (🇬🇧🇫🇮) is interesting because cultural differences emerge at the most surprising moments. Currently, we are planning our son's 4th birthday party in a few weeks and I thought I might make a jelly, because to me, that's the quintessential kids' party dessert. When I mentioned this to my husband, he looked at me as if I have three heads. He even asked around at his workplace and the reaction was one of confusion and disgust. Now I'm afraid no one will like it, even though it was one of my childhood favourites. Should I make it anyway? Worst-case scenario, I just eat it myself 😂

Today we had this very striking sun pillar at sunset 🌅 Apparently it's caused by the sun reflecting off tiny ice crystals suspended in the air ❄️

Printing was going to be a hassle so I decided to make hand-drawn invitations for my son's upcoming birthday party 🎈 Only inviting a few kids so it's not as OTT as it sounds 😂

Rare family outing with all three of us ❄️ My highest wish for 2026 is that we can achieve a work situation that gives us more of this while also paying our bills 🙏
