I did a 5.3 mile bike ride this morning and followed it up with a 10 minute walk. The ride was a bit rough since I skipped the last two days due to being ill on Saturday evening. #mke #milwaukee #bike #biking image
I forgot about BlockSCAD, which is a blockly interface to OpenSCAD you can run right in the browser. I tested it years ago when I was going to teach some kids about 3D modeling. ➑️ #OpenSCAD #CAD #3DPrinting #3DModeling
Don't tell the computer nerds but I've never even played Doom let alone got it running on some esoteric hardware...
I found an old Android phone my daughter had from maybe 15 years ago...? Charged it up then booted it up (which took several minutes) and it's not having it. Tried to wipe and reboot, to no avail. It says "Event by Kyocera" at boot... Any suggestions? image
Someone emailed me saying β€œHey, let’s do a zoom call tomorrow” so the first thing I do is launch Zoom, log in, then update it, then log in again, then make sure it works… Then the next day I get an invite for a Google Meet. Sigh…
I saw the world premiere of β€œRun Bambi Run” in Milwaukee last night (with music by Gordon Gano of the Violent Femmes) and holy shit was it good. I loved it! See it if you get a chance.
It's been a while since I did an actual electronics project with an enclosure and everything, but a professor in Chicago got in touch with me about doing a small motor control project so I threw something together. #maker #electronics #3Dprinting #prototyping image
I know a lot of people love them but I’ve been trying to cut microplastics out of my diet.
It’s important to remember that our Democracy is fragile… just like the octogenarians who run things.
I’d suggest adding a cron job to reboot McConnell every night but at this point I think it’s better to do a permanent shutdown.
Pro-Tip: When I needed hernia surgery I asked the doctor (who was a woman) if she could also do a vasectomy since she'd be "down there" and she said "Absolutely" and I got a two for one deal.
Finally getting around to reading up on the Grove/Gravity/STEMMA/Qwiic options and how they differ. (Opinions welcome!) #maker #electronics
So the car I got two years ago is a 2010 and it's the first car I've owned that expects you to have the headlights on all the time (while driving, I mean) and the headlights have failed again. Is that just the norm for a car that has the headlights always-on thing? My old car didn't seem to chew through them as quickly.
My partner has been watching this show called "Catfish" and why didn't they call it "Anglerfish" because that seems more appropriate.
