I am about finished up with "The Courage to be Disliked", and I must say that the main takeaway here is that "trauma" is just a model of explanation that has been abused to the point that it has simply become an indulgence of the patient in excuses not to change. Really toxic reliance on trauma can lead to superiority complexes, where you believe your pain makes you special; that you can use it as a cudgel to control and manipulate people too afraid to stand up to you: "The baby rules over the adilts with his weakness." image

# Bitcoin Reductivist Priority 3: If you're consuming, you're not blooming. Consumooorism is a trap. If your instinct is to buy the affinity shit advertised to you during the pleb slop commercial break, take pause. Ask yourself "Do I need this? Can I build this? Is someone tempting me not to think?" # Bitcoin Reductivist Priority 2: Put a LIDH on it Low Information Density Horseshit is to be identified and mocked. Every culture needs an outlet for frustration. Mercilessly mocking LIDH serves as good, clean fun and also shames creators of LIDH. Shame is a great demotivator. View quoted note →

# Bitcoin Reductivist Priority 1: Bitcoin is software. The consequential act of bitcoin participation is through software; through either its creation or use or education. If it is not about making, using or educating about the making or use of Bitcoin software, it is Low Information Density Horseshit.

I am no longer a bitcoin maximalist. Shitcoins are dead or at least cynically relegated to naked money grabs. There is no need for maximalism. I am a bitcoin reductivist. I think about bitcoin only in terms of what it actually is. Bitcoin is software. Everything else is just podcast fartiness.

The more I interact and think about interacting with "Bitcoiners", the more I realize that there are actually two discussions happening: 1. "Feeling"-based expectations of how bitcoin is absolutely going to change human consciousness, behavior, morality, and consequently, society. Thinking has been almost completely farmed out to podcasts in this discussion space. 2. People with actual functioning brainstems who think about how to use this software or the emergent systems surrounding the software to their advantage.

LOL TLDR; it was Siri. We have Siri disabled on our devices. We just yelled "HEY SIRI" and got the "Uh huh!?" from an old device I'm another to with Siri enabled. I put it on the charger the other day to extract some data from it. View quoted note →

Just experienced a very strange thing. Wife and I were having an animated conversation, and both heard a perfectly clear female voice say "Uh huh!?", in the tone that one uses to say "I'm listening, go on!" We can't explain it. The floor isn't squeaky. The dog was asleep. No media was playing on any screens.
