Please give me any advice on growing my Nostr boating safety page as I tried a year ago but I think I was too early. Thanks.
OK I tried to start a boating channel here a year ago, but I think I was too early. Is there now an appetite for this kinda channel on Nostr?
This guy was injured on his rear flank by a propeller. It resulted in what's called a sucking chest wound. Air is entering through the wound, filling the abdominal cavity compressing and collapsing the lung. There looks to also be some broken ribs. What you should do here: Find some sterile plastic like cling film, put it over the wound and tape it in 3 places so it forms a one way valve. Suggestion is also that the effected lung should be on the person's downside as it could help prevent the effected lung from completely collapsing under the pressure of accumulating blood in the chest cavity. Keeping the good lung upwards may assist in maintaining its correct functioning. However moving a person in this state is very risky as broken bones could cause more damage, so in this situation, don't move patient, and get the one way valve working and call for professional assistance.

Im gonna leave Nostr for a bit. Maybe come back when its busier. Just too hard to get eyes on my content for all the effort it takes. Thanks to those who supported me. Maybe catch you around in the future. 🫡
Here's a few boating tips for newbies and those who have not yet lost their Bitcoin in a watery environment. If you enjoy, please share, and help me grow.
Hey Nostrs. Can you help? I'm an Instagram boating education content creator, and I'd love to bring my content to Nostr, I know its still a small niche audience but I thought I'd test it out to see if there's potential for influencers on this platform. I'm having difficulty though, I don't understand the relays and if incorrect selection of relays reduces reach. I also don't know how to get my content to be pushed out to people, so can I ask a big favour of the Nostr community please? Can you help me reach anyone interested in boating and a bit of humour to repost, the crap out of this note? I wanna see if I can grow through reshares, as its not working as it does in insta. (I even have non boaters enjoy my content on insta, so don't let that be a hurdle😉) I'm giving away my boating IP for free here on Nostr, and I'm old enough to have acquired quite a bit, so I'd really appreciate your support to see if we can get traction for influencers (the good kind😆) on this platform. Thank You
Hey, any tips or guides for growing on Nostr? It's hard, and not seen any guidance anywhere. Its tricky when you don't know how many followers you have, but you can judge by piss poor video interaction that nobody's watching them 🤷‍♂️
Hey team, I spend a lot of time making these clips for you. Sending them out into the digital ether can be a little demoralising as I don’t get the same positive feedback as I do with face to face training so I’d really appreciate a gesture to let me know my clips are valued and being well received. You can buy me a coffee on my website www.powerboat-training.co.nz/store Thanks and happy Christmas 🎄
I have to be honest, I’m getting a little burned out and tired of the constant stream of idiotic comments on my videos. These comments seem to stem from a wide variety of 🐊trolls, ranging from those who have never been aboard a boat before but having an opinion to those who have experience in only one type of vessel operation and think what applies on their single screw rudder wake boat applies to every other type of vessel which is not the case. I love the positive constructive comments in my clips from genuinely knowledgable people who do assist in the education process, but lately I’m getting inundated with 🫏’s and it is off putting. The point I’m trying to make with the above clip is I really don’t give a sh1t what you do on your boat as I have repeatedly said go hard and kill yourself if you like, just don’t involve innocents. (Except professional entities who have a responsibility) My content is for people who care about their safety and are prepared to take responsibility. Instagram sure is filled with all sorts of appalling conduct from all manner of muppets, and these ‘send it boys’ seem very vocal at screaming the loudest in my comments section. As far as I’m aware I’m the only instagrammer who is prepared to put his c0ck on the block and stand up for what I believe needs to be said about these idiots who’s conduct newbies are emulating. I’ts a bit lonely being the only voice calling the crap out and I am getting tired of it. There’s only so many times you can be called a Karen (politest of all the insults) before I decide I can’t be bothered anymore. I’m not making any meaningful revenue from my page and my tank of ‘fu@ks to give’ is running out despite my best will and intentions.
Firstly, not the best place to have to refuel, you are better off having a second fuel tote tank if you can get one aboard. A strategy we used aboard the RNLI D class lifeboats which have 2 fuel bladders was to burn half the fuel in one tank then switch to the second tank thereby always leaving half the first tank as emergency reserve for the rest of your trip. Fuel tanks should always be secured to the deck and not free to slide about on a boat deck as they can spill through the breather or snap the fuel line which wouldn’t be good. Standard practice with powerboat single fuel tank is to use a max third to get to your destination, use a third to get home and aim to leave a third as emergency reserve 👍🏻
