My best guess is miners holding #btc are dumping for profits in preparation of the increased competition and potential lower rewards in the near term.

All these #bitcoin influencers need to change their tone for people entering this cycle. They are not early, they are late. 1. They’re late because the entire world is priced out at $100k liquid capital for a full #btc unit, except for the very wealthy. 2. They’re late because the government has given legal clarity. 3. They’re late because every company in the US is fixated on this phenomenon. 4. They’re late because every country on earth is or will be participating in the coming two years. But being late is OK. You don’t have to be first on the life boat, you just need a spot. Save spots for your family while you’re at it.

I really want to try out DeepSeek R1, but it’s owned by a Chinese company. While OpenAI is a US company, I at least know that US laws will provide greater than 0 protection for an American. China I’m not so sure. When will there be an open source non-nation state controlled #AI?

As a raging #bitcoin maximalist, I’m fine with ‘#crypto’ existing… but we need to very clearly define the difference. @Michael Saylor's framework is pretty reasonable when you consider that #btc is the only money, everything else is some level of utility. Real world comparisons: It is like saying we have gold, so you didn’t need to invent Facebook. Or you have gold, so you don’t need the deed (soon to be NFT) to your house to prove you own it. Grow up and recognize that blockchain as the underlying technology has use, but only Bitcoin is money.

She will do this now as chair of the digital asset subcommittee. 2. #Trump to give an EO to convert the existing bitcoin into custody of the Dept of Treasury. He did not do this yet. 3. Trump to give an EO on self-custody of digital assets. He did this today. 4. Trump to mandate Congress, SEC, CFTC, etc to develop a digital asset framework immediately. He did this today. In other words, giving the president too much power is actually very dangerous for bitcoin. Has anyone made a #bitcoin calculator where we can determine how many years your bitcoin holdings can last given inflation, cost of living, current salary, family members, cost of kids education, etc And then add future Bitcoin products like borrowing against bitcoin, trading it for other assets, generating yield, etc, as a way to not sell your Bitcoin if possible. Would love to know the time frame. E.g. 1 #btc will last for X years, 2 btc will last for XXX years, and so on.
