Powerful Nietzsche Quote (on running from the inner voice): “All of us know in individual moments how the most extensive arrangements of our own lives are made only in order to flee from our true task; how we like to hide our heads somewhere, as though our hundred-eyed conscience would not find us there; how we hasten to sell our soul to the state, to money-making, to social life, or to scholarship just so that we will no longer possess it; how even in our daily work we slave away without reflection and more ardently than is necessary to make a living because it seems to us necessary not to stop and reflect. Haste is universal because everyone is fleeing from himself; universal, too, is the timid concealment of this haste, because we want to appear satisfied and deceive the most perceptive observers about our wretchedness; universal, as well, the need for new sounding word bells with which life can be adorned and lent an air of noisy festivity. Everyone is familiar with the peculiar state in which unpleasant memories suddenly force themselves upon us and we make an effort to drive them out our heads by means of violent gestures and sounds; but the gestures and sounds of common life indicate that all of us always find ourselves in such a fear of memory and of turning inward. What is it that assails us so often, what mosquito is this that refuses to let us sleep? Ghostly things are occurring ground us, every moment of life wants to tell us something, but we do not want to hear this ghostly voice. When we are quiet and alone we are afraid that something will be whispered into our ear, and hence we despise quiet and drug ourselves with sociability.” image

There are three types of people in this world: ➡️ Those who make things happen ➡️ Those who watch things happen ➡️ Those who wonder wtf happened The world is full of the latter (80%). It is home to many of those who watch (80% of the 20%). Leaving very few of the ones who make things happen (20% of the 20%). Why? Because it's hard. Because it's painful. Because it's full of sacrifice. But...this is the price for life of meaning and fulfilment worthy of a legacy. If you want the consistent feeling of happiness, which is fleeting, be a part of the 80% - because ignorance is bliss. image

Watched a video this morning of Sly Stallone talking about how soft the world had become (no longer allowing 8oz gloves in the ring). Reminded me of a passage from Bushido about adversity & growth. Society has become stagnant because we’re soft. We’ve stopped growing, creating & producing bc we’re comfortable. Perhaps that’s the hidden blessing behind clown world? To give us some adversity to fight & contend with. Sure. It’s a humiliation ritual having to fight with retards - but we brought it onto ourselves. We need to transcend them, and seek a new, more worthy opponent. It’s time to reach again. For something higher.

The word "bushido" is composed of three Japanese characters: 武 (bu) and 士 (shi) which together mean "warrior," and 道 (do) which means "way." The word "do" can also be translated as "path," "principle," or "teaching," depending on the context. Therefore, the word "bushido" can be translated as "the way of the warrior," "the warrior's path," or "the warrior's principles." Bu-shi-do can also, and more literally, translate to Military-Knight-Way, which was the manner in which fighting nobles should engage in daily life as well as their vocation. image

The “law of attraction” isn’t some new age woo woo shit. The Rhonda Byrne’s of the world may have made it sound that way, but it’s in essence, just natural. image

The intricacy of this armour is absolutely incredible. Pictured here is Hiroyuki Sanada playing “Torunaga” in Shogun - James Clavell’s epic which fictionalised the real period where “Ieyasu” unified Japan and became the Shogun. Have not watched the show yet, but Sanada is one of the best actors in the world, and certainly one of the best in Japan. I hope it does justice to the book. I believe it was @FRANCIS - BULLBITCOIN.COM that first told me about the book - or maybe someone else. Either way - go read it !! image
