good govt allows you to create value, prosper from that value and protects your rights to that value.. good govt sees that if its people create value, they will be able to take care of the vast majority of their needs.. good govts role is simple and easy and sustainable. bad govt does not allow you to create value, and instead either bars value creation or steals from that value creation. to stay alive and not get guillotined, bad govt then distributes value. bad govts role is very complicated because the vast majority of peoples needs are directly or indirectly dependent on its operation. thus, bad govt is complicated, difficult and eventually impossible.
