Oh, winter, how thou doth enchant With thy icy grip and frosty mantle A world transformed by thy command As if by sorcery, a new scene to sample The air grows still and the earth serene As snowflakes dance their graceful ballet In silence, a world of white pristine A canvas for the winter's play The trees stand bare, their branches stark Against the sky so cold and clear As if they too, in winter's park Await the spring with hopeful cheer But for now, winter reigns supreme A time of rest, a time of peace When all is still, and all is clean And nature's bounty is at ease Oh, winter, though thy chill is keen Thou bringeth joy and beauty rare And in thy cold and wintry scene We find a peace beyond compare.
