The UK is talking about confiscating kitchen knives. The pearl clutchers have never been very good at identifying risk. image
The Internet assumed Dave Ramsey was freaking out at the beginning of the pandemic because his cruise got canceled. But he was facing the reality that his over exposure to the real estate market was about to seriously screw him. If he was smart, he sold the high. But he’s always been a degenerate real estate investor so I seriously doubt he did. image
I see ChatGPT as a 10x Google. It understands context much better than Google (or other search engines) and can give you pointers to that context that would take you much longer to find digging through search engine results. Especially in the SEO spammed world we currently live in. But the writing ChatGPT produces is pretty pathetic and easy to spot in my experience. In its current state it feels like an excellent research assistant, but I’d never trust or use its output directly for anything I care about.
Yes, buy paper gold with counterparty risk. I’m sure that’s perfectly safe. I’m personally happy to see the communists in the west lose the power to cut off access to the financial system of anyone who disagrees with them. But people are going to quickly wake up to the risks of trusting the communists in the east. If only there was a bearer asset with no counterparty risk that you could purchase and transmit digitally to anywhere on the planet. That could really help reduce the risks of trading with potentially adversarial trading partners.
My dad carried one of these to work everyday when I was a kid. Thermos of coffee latched to the inside of the lid and everything. I’m surprised they still sell them.
I was about five when I convinced myself Santa was bullshit. I resented the people who kept telling me the lie too. When my kids were young I refused to perpetuate the lie. I didn’t burst their bubble early, but when they started really pushing I didn’t defend the lie. They took it very hard. I wonder how my life would have been different if the much more defensible position of the story of Saint Nicholas had been the focus and background of the gift giving tradition rather than the magic elves and reindeer. 🤔 image
So it’s not just the eyes, he’s a teeny little boy in every way. 🤣 It explains so much. image
Prompt Engineers are the funniest thing to come out of AI so far. I have a feeling they are going to be as annoying as Search Engine Optimizers have been. image
It should have been “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Property.”
There a tiny number of people on Twitter I will still engage with because they aren’t here and I miss their perspective and can’t resist. But every time I do use Twitter like that, I get more bullish on Nostr. Twitter feels like you are wading through quicksand made of raw sewage.
It’s funny and I agree with the sentiment WRT NPR. But how many millions did the US government pay Twitter, and Facebook, and Google to help them censor and monitor US citizens? Let’s just put that label on all the traditional media and big tech companies. Better yet, quit taking my money to give to all these corrupt bastards. image
Me when Bitcoin hits $38K again. My current basis is below this now, but it doesn’t matter. I know myself well enough to know I’m going to be celebrating at $38K regardless. I mentally went all in 1H21 and $38K is where that averaged so it will always be meaningful to me.
So if it turns out that too many people try to withdraw ETH and dump it, how long before they do another hard fork to throttle their withdrawal queue even more? Looks like the current limit at current prices is somewhere around 1% of the typical daily volume. It’s probably going to be much more orderly than I wish and they’ll probably have plenty of time to hard fork and limit things even more if things seem like they are going against them.
Hilarious, mETH withdrawals are throttled and queued. It’s going to be interesting to see how long it takes to drain that queue.
I don’t waste time trying to orange pill friends and loved ones. I mention it and drop it. If we are discussing a subject that I think Bitcoin is perfectly positioned to help solve in the near term, I will once again mention something like “this is why I own Bitcoin” and drop it. If someone wants to dig, they will. They never do. But I am stacking plenty so I’ll feel free to let go of a huge chunk of my stack at a deep discount when the time comes. I want to be positioned so I can help give birth to a circular economy as quickly as possible in my sphere of influence and I’ll start with the people I’m closest to first and I’ll encourage them to pay it forward too. Bitcoin Beach is a good example of how quickly a few generous people can spread the love and how big an impact that can have when the time is right.
Masks don’t work any better than your scare tactics, retard. image
Taiwanese Air Force patches, apparently. If memes could win dogfights, they’d be in pretty good shape. image
Anyone get the feeling we’re not far from another CIA sponsored Kennedy assassination plot?
