Really sad to see I don't know what will be of Coldcard and/or of your involment in the space, no need to tell you how bad this is, for the customers, Coinkite and the entire self custody space, you know... The hit is ginormous I'd love to see the product survive, although I don't know how even that's possible, I highly doubt the company will... I'd wish the Calcolators to be as secure as we all thought, probably now they are... But not sure I'd be able to trust it again myself, I'd probably use it in a multisig setup, but new customers?! I believe in principle you should continue to support/maintain the existing products, but is that even possible? On one side I appreciated your direct but harsh criticism of "non best practices", it tended to be a bit too over the top though I wish you the best I'm sure this will be a harsh life lesson in hubris, ideally hope you'll be able to contribute to the tracking of the funds and return them tho the rightful owners This will not fix what happened, but it would reduce the financial hit of the affected user and it would help you personally As you never pulled punches when others f'd up, here's one for you View article →
