Emergency Oxygen (EO2) for Scuba diving injuries workshop held Thurs & Friday here in Boracay with Divers Alert Network (DAN) Philippines’ Sir Romir Aglugub.
There were seasoned dive pros from Boracay present too and felt grateful to listen to their experiences.
Because of this workshop I appreciate the gas laws better and constant EAP drills. Ang galing! Salamat po sa DAN at BBAS!

Matera is a city on a rocky outcrop in the region of Basilicata, in southern Italy. It includes the Sassi area, a complex of cave dwellings carved into the mountainside.
Evacuated in 1952 due to poor living conditions, the Sassi now houses museums like the Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario, with period furniture and artisan tools.
Nearby rock churches include St. Lucia alle Malve, with 13th-century frescoes.

On this day in 1987, the Belinda Carlisle single “Heaven Is A Place On Earth” went to #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (December 5)
"Heaven Is a Place on Earth" was Carlisle's only US #1, and was also her first #1 hit in the United Kingdom, topping the UK Singles Chart for two weeks.
The single also reached #1 in many other countries around the world, such as Switzerland, Ireland, Zimbabwe, Sweden, South Africa and Norway.
It also reached #2 in Australia, #3 in Germany and Canada, and #6 in Italy.
The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1988, but lost out to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)".
In 2017, ShortList's Dave Fawbert listed the song as containing "one of the greatest key changes in music history".
The video for the song was directed by actress Diane Keaton.

On this day in 1990, the Divinyls single “I Touch Myself” debuted on the Australian charts at #77 (December 3)
The song from their self-titled LP eventually made it all the way to #1 in Australia.
When released in the United States, the song caused a minor controversy, but performed brilliantly, peaking at #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 after receiving extensive play on modern rock radio, which was more accepting of the song's subject matter.
Divinyls are considered a bit of a “one-hit wonder” in the US, as "I Touch Myself" was their only US Top 40 hit.
It also went to #10 in the UK and #13 in Canada.
The I Touch Myself Project was launched in 2014, twelve months after the passing of Chrissy Amphlett to breast cancer.
Amphlett was passionate about spreading awareness of the importance of early detection and wanted the song to be adapted as an anthem for breast health around the world.
The Project was created in Chrissy’s honour with a mission to create educational forums to remind women to check their breasts regularly and to take action if there are any changes.
In 2018, Serena Williams recorded the song and posted her version on instagram. It became the most retweeted post, the most talked about campaign on Instagram and the most watched video during International Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Karjalanpiirakka is a traditional Finnish pasty consisting of various fillings wrapped in a thin rye crust. It is traditionally formed into an oval shape, and the top is always left open to showcase the creamy filling that is nowadays mainly prepared with rice or barley porridge and mashed potatoes.
When baked, each piece is brushed with melted butter and usually enjoyed as a hearty breakfast or lunch. Traditionally, Karelian pasty is served topped with munavoi—a creamy butter and egg spread.

The dark, anti-love song was R.E.M.’s breakthrough hit single, also peaking at #11 in Canada, #17 in South Africa, charting in the Top 100 in the Netherlands and Australia, and later reaching #16 on the UK Singles Chart in its 1991 re-release.
Stipe said in 1987 to Rolling Stone, "I've always left myself pretty open to interpretation. It's probably better that they just think it's a love song at this point."
However, in an interview in the January 1988 issue of Musician magazine, he said that the song was "incredibly violent" and added, "It's very clear that it's about using people over and over again".
